Great Family Dog

In December I got my son a Beabull for Christmas. He wanted a dog and so did me and my boyfriend but we live in an upstairs apartment of a two unit house and were careful in the breed we picked. We didn't even know about Beabulls when we were looking into getting her and there wasn't a lot of information online-but we did it anyways. It was the best decision we could have made. Kona is the most loving and playful puppy in the world. She was easy to house train and training her in general has not been difficult. Since there is beagle in her, walking her has been very trying as she is always wanted to sniff anything she passes. In addition, she does have a little bit of seperation anxiety and if she could, would be at our side at all times, including while we sleep! Kona is just learning that she can bark and she is going to be six months old next week. At first we thought she would howl a little more than bark, but we were wrong. The one thing we had to be careful of was the winter. Being a short nose dog-being out in the cold when she was a puppy was really hard on her and she would hyperventilate a little bit. Our vet said that it was normal because of her nasal passages and of course because she was so young. We think that she will remain fairly short but will fill out. She has taken on the bulldog look in the face and in her stance but for sure has the curiosity of a beagle. She is great with my son and with other dogs-she shows submission at first encounter with dogs but holds her own and is ready to play in a minute. A beabull is a great addition to a family or even an individual. She loves to play but will also snuggle right up to you when its time to settle down. She snores something horrible but its the cutest thing!

New Chipoo

My daughter just brought home a Chipoo puppy. I would love to hear from other owners of Chipoos. We also have a 9 year old Cockapoo. So far, not too much conflict. Hoping they become friends.

I am the recent owner of a Borador...

I purchased her through a breeder. The first night I had her... she was very stressed and anxious. She had a lot of diarrhea and vomitting. All she wanted to do was lie down and sleep, looking sad and forlorn. The second day, she began to eat better, and by the time night came around... she wanted to play and bounce around.

Since she has become more sociable, I am noticing the following traits while attempting to train her. She tends to resist going outdoors to "do her business". She regularly pees in out kitchen! Sometimes, she will pee when we place her outside, but mostly, she will pee once we've brought her back in after thinking she wouldn't go!! This is a little frustraing, but hopefully with time, she'll learn. I have been trying my best to leash train her... this is going wery well. She walks alongside me, but is TERRIFIED of cars and the noises they make. Walking along busy streets is impossible - I have to carry her, but side streets are fine and I expect she'll get used to it! I am able to let her off leash in large grassy areas, and she will come to me when I call to her and tap my thighs. I am unsure if she is adept in the "come" command, or just wants to be near me because she is becoming attached. Sit, stay, and the rest are works in progress.

As a puppy, my borador is very at ease. She prefers to spend her time indoors lying on her bed, quietly chewing her toys, or following me around. She is sometimes very excited to play, and will nip and bite playfully... I am working on this, and have not yet made any progress.

In conclusion, I am so far, happy with the dog. She seems very intelligent, and is definately loving. She appears to seek my approval... just a feeling I get from her. Hopefully she continues to grow to become as lovely as she is now, minus of course, the peeing in my kitchen!

Pitweiler Pups

Oreo my Pitbull is a fun loving dog, she loves our family and enjoys playing with the kids. Not that the Rottweiler is dumb but he is still a puppy. We love him to death unless he eats our shoes, tables, doors and walls then he gets the evil eye for an hour or two but we are teaching him to be just as good as oreo. Now we just had Pitweiler puppies born April 8 2009 12 puppies it was a very big litter!
