I own a beautiful Chow Pei named Cody. He is a sable color with wrinkles on his head and neck. Cody is considered a horse coat Chow Pei. His coat is short, stiff, harsh, and bristly. He is a very regal dog with a dignified manner. Cody is very intelligent and passed basic obedience classes with flying colors! He is always alert to any sound he hears and makes a great watchdog. But, he only barks when the need be, as he must always keep his dignity. I brush him once a day to keep shedding at bay and keep him in line with training sessions at least once a week. He lives with me on my farm and is a wonderful dog. I recomend this breed to anyone who wants a family dog or companion; city or country life.
