Hello from Mulder

Its been about a year since I've updated on Mulder.  He's doing well.  He survived his first realy Canadian winter and decided that he loves snow and sledding and playing.  I'll have to post a few pictures of him in the snow a bit later.

He loves playing with Anya and trying to get Indy to play.  He wakes James up when he's with us.  He loves to snuggle and play with his sock balls.

On our walks he is always getting attention from everyone we meet.  He met a new Great Dane friend and loved playing with him.  It was quiet the sight though.

I am so glad that I saw Mulder in the shelter and he has a great home.  I get lots of love in return.

Update on Mulder

He loves his home and loves his sister Anya. He still does not like it when I leave.

He will poo on the floor when I am gone at a swim meet. It doesn't matter who is home with him. He is very very very attached to me.

He is starting to calm down the older he gets. I can't believe he's been with me for a year now. It seems like forever.

Mulder really helped heal my heart after loosing Scully. He wakes me with puppy kisses nearly every morning and he curls up at my stomach every night. He is full of energy and love.

I am so glad I went to the shelter that day.

Poor Mulder

I'm getting ready to leave for a 3 week training trip down to the States. Poor Mulder is already going a bit crazy. He is glued to my side and very confused.

I knew this was going to be an issue as I had to be gone for a swim meet not long ago and it was not fun for him. He has some attachment and anxiety issues and it does help that he has Anya to keep him company during the day. My fiancee is home at night and every other week we have his son.

Mulder just doesn't like being away from me at all. I feel bad for the little guy, but I have to go on this trip. There is no way I can take him with me either. I have the worst guilt ever right now.

Poor little guy.

The term "Desinger Dog"

I just read a book called Designer Breeds put out by the Animal Planet. They went into how that term came about and said the first "designer dog" was the labordoodle. It's a good book about the care of designer dogs, but it provides the history and the genetics behind designer breeds.

Mulder my new Chipoo

Thanks! Mulder's main problem right now is he loves to jump at peoples faces to play or greet them. I'm getting ready to move in with my fiancee who has a 4 year old boy and I'm working hard with Mulder on this. He's learning quickly, but sometimes he forgets. He's also taken to walking around the deck on his hind legs while I'm grilling. It's so adorable. He's really a characher.

Owner Testimonials

Mulder the Chipoo

I got Mulder from a shelter. They happened to have all his information from his previous owner. That's how I found out that he's a Chipoo.

He is a very active dog that loves to play with his toys and Anya, his big sister who is a cocker spaniel. He loves to snuggle at night and has a special place on the bed right next to me. He wakes my up with kisses every morning.

He rarely barks and never ever whines. In fact I had him almost 2 weeks before I heard him make a sound.

Mulder loves to be with me, but if I'm not home he will snuggle with my fiancee or his son. He adores James, my step-son. He will check on him before he goes to bed and when he wakes up. He plays with him every chance he gets.

Mulder still has some chewing issues, but they are getting better. He did a bit of damage after moving, but he's used to the house now and has settled down. He is crate trained and doesn't mind being in there at all. We don't really us it anymore as Anya keeps him company if we are not here.

He travels well and loves the car. He has been back and forth across the border several times and loves it. He wears his seat belt, but when we stop he's ready to get out of it.

I would get another Chipoo in a second. He's a great dog and loves to be with me.
