Our Bodacion

The Bodacion is a wonderful companion dog. My male weights 65lbs, and is the smartest dog I have ever owned. He has the intense stare of the B.Collie, but the versatility of the Dalmatian. Short wavy hair that is easy to care for, a beautiful white coat with liver ticking, ears, nose, and gold eyes. He is an excellent watch dog, and very social with other dogs. He loves to swim and play chuckit ball, and gets along famously with horses and cats. In the litter were black and white puppies also. He is extremely healthy and not hyper, but does love a routine that includes a long hike or run on the beach or in dog parks etc. I am a pet sitter, and he goes everywhere with me. He does not have the separation anxiety that purebred Dalmatians can get, even though he loves to be included in everything. I Highly recommend this new breed. He is actually smarter than the purebred Border Collies that i care for. His Dalmatian side lets him turn off that constant focus that can make Border Collies too intense. My only anxiety is that I cant find another one. I hope this breed catches on! Very easy to train.

Our Pitenees

I have a 4 year old neutered male Pitenees. He was bred by mistake. A friend of mine had a small breed of pit bull and his brother had a male Pyrenees and they got together. He has short hair and wide head like a pit. he weighs 107 and has reached 110 or so. He is white with light brown patches that can not be seen until up close to him. He has a wonderful temperment. He is not an active dog during the day. He barks at night. He lies or sits around trying to escape the Alabama heat. He stays in a large house most of the time if it is raining or cold. At night is a diffent story, he is constantly on guard utilizing a great sense of smell. Sometimes he will be lieing down and raise his head up and smell the air. He is wonderful with small children. Good with other dogs. He is protective of his food, no other dog is allowed near his bowl or any bones he might have hidden. He was hard to train to stay at home. Our fence is not chain link, It is wire and he would dig out easily. But after some rough treatment from my husband he is content to stay at home and no longer goes out. He does have flea allergies and it is expensive to rid him of fleas since he is an outside dog. He comes in the house on cold winter nights and does not roam around and has never used the bathroom inside. He lays on a beach towell. He has shown some sighs of atheritis in his left front leg. I am treating him with fish oil and glucosomine. I would recommend a pitenees to anyone that can care for a large dog. I recently adopted a 9 week old Pyrenees/Sheperd mix and am curious how she will turn out.

Our Golden Pyrenees

We own a Golden Pyrenees named Sadie. she is now 5 months old and has stolen our hearts. She loves to play, but likes frequent naps as well. She is a very happy girl. She definatley has the stubborn streak from the pyrenees. she is easy to train but it has to be on her terms. She will fetch and actually enjoys, as long as it is on her terms. She loves our children but can get a little carried away at times and knock them over but we are working on that. If you are looking for a dog that does not shed this is not the dog for you. We brush Sadie daily and she still sheds A LOT. She really enjoys playing with other dogs. I would definatley recommend a training class as that has helped us a lot with Sadie. We do have her on a wireless fence whcih she has does very well with and will not attemo to leave the yard even without the collar on, but it did take some work. Sadie does not meet any strangers she loves to greet the neighbors. She is actually not much of a barker but will bark if she feel threatend. Sadie has been a wonderful addition to our family and we are look forward to many more years enjoying her company.

Andy

This is the smartest, most handsome and most gentle-spirited dog I've ever had. He is black, with a gold undercoat, sheds profusely, and weighs 116 pounds. He resembles a giant black lab, although the head shape is Rottie-like. He is prone to digestive issues, but has tested negative for mega-esophagus. He is extremely powerful and can be quite stubborn. Has extensive vocabulary and understands sign language. Exuberant and loves life - flunked Canine Good Citizen because of over-enthusiasm. I wish I could clone him. He's magical.

My Pugshire Ben

My little Ben is the best dog I have ever owned. He looks almost like a miniature boxer with ears that flop over at the top. Ben is very smart. He listens to every command and carries them out with pride. He loves all people and especially children. He is 1 1/2 years old. He is very loyal and loves to play, and take walks but most of all he follows me everywhere and loves to be with me. He is such a joy to have. Ben makes me very happy because he is my best friend and is always there. When Ben sees that I have a cut he will actually smell it and continually lick it. He tries to wash me up by licking my face and head. He also tries to kiss me on the lips constantly. Everyone who sees him falls in love with him. He will be my best friend I am happy to say for a long time. I have had a lot of dogs but none compare to Ben. This Pugshire is one in a million.
