Douggie
I'm from Sydney Australia and unfortunately had to put my Bodacion to sleep a few weeks ago.
Whilst that is sad, he gave me 15 years of the best friendship I could ever imagine. He took quite a bit of work as a puppy because of the double cross of energy but became the kindest, gentlest dog you could imagine. He was still a good guard dog - even though he'd probably lick intruders to death if they got in (they weren't to know that). Douggie was still going for fairly lengthy walks at age 15 and was very orientated to please - happier with praise than reward. The Bodacion is a great dog which probably bonds better with one person but is still friendly toward everyone else. The Bodacion is a wonderful companion dog. My male weights 65lbs, and is the smartest dog I have ever owned. He has the intense stare of the B.Collie, but the versatility of the Dalmatian. Short wavy hair that is easy to care for, a beautiful white coat with liver ticking, ears, nose, and gold eyes. He is an excellent watch dog, and very social with other dogs. He loves to swim and play chuckit ball, and gets along famously with horses and cats. In the litter were black and white puppies also. He is extremely healthy and not hyper, but does love a routine that includes a long hike or run on the beach or in dog parks etc. I am a pet sitter, and he goes everywhere with me. He does not have the separation anxiety that purebred Dalmatians can get, even though he loves to be included in everything. I Highly recommend this new breed. He is actually smarter than the purebred Border Collies that i care for. His Dalmatian side lets him turn off that constant focus that can make Border Collies too intense. My only anxiety is that I cant find another one. I hope this breed catches on! Very easy to train.
