Sanjuro's Story & Details
I have had three purebred Dalmatians, and when I saw the ad for these puppies I wanted one immediately. I am a pet sitter and I knew this would be a great combination of brains and versatility. There were only six puppies in a litter bred on purpose by sheep farmers. The mother, Border Collie, was a powerful herder, so they bred her to a neighbor's Dalmatian in order to mellow her puppy's temperaments towards small livestock. These are Excellent dogs around children and animals. The brains and focus of the BC, mellowed by the "all for one and one for all" family attitude of the Dal. There were two liver and white pups and four black and whites. I only wish I had bought two! I would love to find another or breed my boy. Sanjuro is named after a Samurai who stood up for the underdogs.
