Tucker the Shar-Cat
Tucker is a wonderful mix of sharpei and cattle dog. He's such a bright and lively guy..about 50 lbs and a little larger than a cattle dog. He tries to herd the cats but never hurts them. He's a great little tracker and loves to use his nose. Black tongue, wonderful weather-resistant coat and a sweet curly tail. He's got a great personality, learns quickly, and generally loves everyone. He's my best buddy..loves to hike..and he DOES require the amount of exercise you'd give a cattle dog.

I have two Crusties, sisters, over one year old, and they are WONDERFUL. They weigh 5 and 8 lbs., one got most of the Yorkie, one most of the Crested.
Both have nice hair although the more Crested one has thin hair with some spots (inside legs, etc...) very hairless. The play fiercely then sleep heavily. They love the cat. They love every dog they meet. I've encountered no major health problems yet. They both have that Yorkie honk when they get excited but it has been vet checked and is nothing. I'm sure they'd be great with kids, but I would be hesitant with toddlers, etc... as they are both small with thin leg bones. They have traveled in the car hundreds of miles without problems. Loving, smart, funny, energetic (I wouldn't want to have just one.... I don't think I could keep it entertained...) and easily trained and housebroken. If I ever lose them, they'll be replaced immediately with another Crusty. I can't imagine any other breed. The Yorkie one is mistaken for a Brussels Griffon.... and the black one who is more Crested is often greeted with "Awwwww.....". I had never even heard of a chiweenie until I got my baby girl, Squeaker in November of 2008. But once I had her in my arms I knew that chiweenies were the only kind of dog for me. [:
I sit back and laugh now, because she fits the breed description to a T. She loves to cuddle, listens to me better than anyone else, and can have my Chug and Dachshunds heads spinning by the time she's finished with her energy bursts. She is so loving, and trusting, and very protective of me. She's become my everything in the short amount of time I've had her and I look forward to atleast another 13 years with her. [: They are the absolute best pet for anyone to have, especially a newly married couple who can't have children, like my husband and I. <3 Posted: 3/9/2010 7:42:43 AM by Anonymous More Chiweenie Testimonials | Chiweenie Breed Information | Chiweenie Photos | Chiweenie Videos | Chiweenie Bios | Chiweenie Discussions Our borgi Lizzy
This is actually an update from the info I submitted to the breed information.
Lizzy is now 2 years old. She's the most wonderful dog ever! She has been put on this Earth to do whatever job is required of her when it comes to people. No one is an enemy to her until proven otherwise....she LOVES everyone of all ages! She can hardly stand to walk obediently by a school if it's recess time and the children are out playing! She's been visiting at nursing homes and totally understands and senses who wants to play with and pet her, and who'd rather she not come near. She will stay by you when you feel sad, are hurting physically or emotionally, or will play and work all day long. Lizzy adapts her level of energy to meet yours in the here and now. Not only has Lizzy "raised" Tucker, our little doxi cross, but now she's also become a care-giver for Abby, our 14-year old American Eskimo/Border collie cross. As Abby loses her sight and sense of smell, Lizzy cares for her more and more and has even taken over the "yard work"...chasing squirrels, barking at strangers... that Abby no longer does as well. If I could suggest a perfect dog, it would be Lizzy...even though we love our other two dogs with all our hearts as well. If she didn't shed, she would be perfect. Still, since she prefers now to be more of an outside dog, her shedding isn't a big issue. We have been blessed with our wonderful borgi!
