Chewing Puppy
So, Daisy is progressing. I got married the end of November and went on a honeymoon the beginning of December. Then My husband and I went to the Bahamas the day after Christmas. Daisy stayed with my parents and their 3 golden retrievers and one mixed dog. She did very well. I feel like every thime I get my parents to watch her, she gets taller, like she is trying to turn into golden retriever size. We wanted her to be well socialized with other dogs, so I could take her places like the park or stores that allow dogs.
I have found that when I put a shirt on Daisy, she is very calm, but when I don't she is psycho. Most of the time, my husband and I do not have a shirt on her, its when someone comes over to visit, or she won't leave the cat alone, or is just plain running around the house like a crazy dog that we do.
She is extremely active. Surprisingly she was very good with small children. I wasn't sure what to expect and she still has sharp teeth compared to the golden or our 2 miniature schnauzers. She didn't try to nip at them and was very gentile.
Daisy also has very strong back legs. she will stand up and walk to two legs by herself. The only thing we can take credit for teaching her right now is to sit, stay, no, and high-five. She will walk around the house on two legs, it's the craziest thing.
I will update more as time goes one. Things are finally getting back to normal around here. I am sick of traveling (I never thought I would say that). My husband and I decided that the next time we go anywhere, we would take our little guys, lol.

Daisy is almost 5 months
So, I haven't written in a while. Daisy is all done with her shots and the vet check-ups. I didn't realize that with a small do they had to go back so many times to the vet b.c they had to be a certain weight. She is doing really good now. She has started loosing her baby teeth, which is too cute. I feel like she is chewing on everything. We have been going through toys like crazy. I am getting married the end of this month and she is going to stay with my mom for a week and a half with our cat, so I am nervous about that. I hope she doesn't miss us too much. My parents have 3 golden retrievers who absolutely love her, which works out great. Our 2 schnauzers are going with the mother in law. Hopefully they will be ok too. As Daisy has grown, we still can't really tell what she looks like. Most people say that they think she looks more like a schnauzer, but since we have 2 schnauzers, we don't think so. When she gets a bath, she looks like a beagle. Overall we are very happy with Daisy. SHe is getting the potty training under control for the most part, she may still have an accident, but overall, she is much better. I am posting a couple of new pictures of her, so check them out and let me know what you think she looks like, ha-ha. Jami

Collar & Leash Training
So, Daisy is a crazy ball of energy that likes to bite/eat everything. We have started to try and get her used to a collar and leash, it has been interesting to say the least. I bought her a cute collar that had little Daisy's on it and she hated it. She scratched at it so much, sh ended up getting a little sore. So I took it off of her and let the sore heal, which it seemed to do in no time (I wish I healed that fast, ha-ha). Now we are using a harness. That seems to be working a lot better. She pouted at first, which was kind of cute, but now she is doing better with it. I have since added the leash and she really doesn't like it. I thought she would just pout and not go to the bathroom out side or anything, but she will go outside on the leash and do her business, then pout. I have been rewarding her with treats and that seems to be working better. I know it will take time. The reason why I started with the leash and collar training is b/c my yard is not fenced in and my schnauzers stay in the yard, but Daisy started to run into the neighbors yard and decided she didn't wanted to listen when I called her, so I figured it was time to start the training. We are also working on Sit, Stay (not going very well), and no. She has learned no and is starting to know when she does something wrong, which is good. It's a slow process, but she is definitely learning more every day.
