I have a lab/beagle mix and he is just awesome, but he is soooo needy. Don't get me wrong I'll pet him all day if I could but I can't haha. Any suggestions on how to help him be more independent??

Training and teaching him new behaviors is a great way to build his confidence and independence. Then you can ask him for a sit or shake or something like that when he comes to beg for petting. Let us know how it goes!
