My name is A and I am the owner of a Cavalier/Tibetan Spaniel mix - Missie -, as well as a purebred Cavalier - Rocky -, and an Alaskan Husky - J.P. They are all incredible dogs, one designer mix, one Champion sired show dog bred, and one pound dog. I volunteered for rescue here in Alberta for 13 years, and now I am studying canine genetics with the hope to breed in the future. I am very unhappy with what the show dog world has done to my breed, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and have some out of the box ideas about breed clubs. As I find out more on the topic of canine genetics I am becoming more unsatisfied with our registries and the closed stud books they zealously guard over, and I will be posting on those topics.
