Cherry Eye

mili5726 Starting Member (15) Posted: 9/6/2009 10:59:32 AM	My Cockinese puppy has cherry eye. Can anyone give me any advice on it. I was thinking about getting it removed but heard it can cause problems with dry eye when my dog is older, but I also heard the tear duct that is exposed is only responsible for 30% tear production, so will it really be much of a problem.

mili5726 Starting Member (15) Posted: 9/23/2009 9:25:47 PM	Well I cancelled his surgery to have it removed. I am going to see if I can get a fair price to have it tucked. Not really sure what I should do. The vet also told me if I can stand looking at it I can leave it be. I am already used to it now, I just worry about him injuring it due to it being exposed.
