Mr. Weenie's Story & Details
Mr. Weenie came to us as an adult, about a year old. He was a little boy's, but the little boy was a brat. My sister had been wanting a puppy from the parents of him, and was happy to rescue him and bring him to our home. He's very kid friendly - at one point my sister lived with my brother's family helping during a situation and my youngest niece and nephew basically teethed on him. He lived with them for a while, as he was "stolen" by my toddler niece.
He does have a few very bad habits. He climbs fences, for one, so you can't keep him in if he wants out. For a second, he doesn't come when called when outside - calling for him makes him run quicker away from you. (This is why he lives with us and no longer with my brother in the city - apparently he has been "run over" three times, saved only by being so short.)
And lastly, he worms his way under our porch and house and barks *at nothing*. Its crazy and drives you insane.
But we've mostly gotten used to that. His little OC Disorders are probably just a throw back to his puppy-hood, when he lived on a chain and was called bad names by little bratty boys. Or maybe he just likes annoying me. =)
Really, I like him, though he does seem to always look at me with a 'superior' expression. He *does* have some of the softest fur texture ever felt on a dog. Really, it's kitten soft. And he's a dog you can trust with any child.
