Roxy's Story & Details
Roxy was given to us as a pup. She was originally orange in colour. She had one litter of 14, 12 survived. The first was still born, and the last died too. It came when I had gone to bed after 3 in the morning thinking she had finished. I think it never got breathing because I had to resuscitate another one. Roxy was the best mother. She worked out by herself to divde her litter into 2 groups of six so she could feed them all and keep them clean. This lasted 2 weeks until their teeth and claws emerged so we took over, including the night feeds. Amongst the usual food, they had baby formula and fish when they could handle it. The vet and her 3 assistants visited us when it was time for their checkup and first immunisation. Except for one male and female that we kept, they were sold at 8 weeks. We will never do it again because of the heartbreak of letting go.
