Chewbacca's Story & Details
We like to call Chewy a Newfie-Doodle, alternately a Doofus-Noodle. We found a breeder near Royal Gorge in Canon City, CO who had a litter from a large choc. std. poodle and a reg. sized newf mom. I'm pretty sure we got the pick of the litter. He doesn't shed, he makes noises like a wookie and 'talks' a bit. He's very smart and agile for a big dog, his leaps are scary to be around. He loves being nearby. He doesn't mind our 3 year old climbing all over him. He really just wants to be a little lap dog and we love him dearly!

we just read your page info and realized that we have pups from the same breeder and same mom and dad!!!! we got bailey in dec of 08. mom is the brown newf...legend and dad is moose the choc poodle~ too cool!!!! i loved lookin at pics of chewbacca!! bailey is a talker too!!!!

I think our dogs came from the same litter. We got ours June 2008. She is a female, named Reese. I just found this site yesterday and am so excited to see other dogs that look like Reese. She is quite the talker as well, especially in the mornings! Reese is very tall and almost 80lbs. It would be great to get them together. Do you keep the hair short during warmer months?
