Baxter's Story & Details
We went to the pet store to buy fish. Baxter was in the front of the store and we fell in love immediately. From the time we brought him home he was the happiest animal I've ever seen. His tail never stops wagging. He has tons of energy so we started taking him to doggie day camp. He made friends with everyone and at the valentine's dance brought home the trophy for most popular. He's a little guy, only 23 pounds but he doesn't know that. He plays with big or small dogs. I try every day to have even a small bit of his attitude. He is always positive. He looks at life as one happy adventure. When he goes to the vet, he is happy because he gets to meet people and other animals. Last year we al oat lost him. A pit bull got off his leash and grabbed him by the side and wouldn't let go. He had Baxter off the ground and was shaking him back and forth like a toy. It took 3 people to get the pit bull off of him. Baxter almost did not make it. At the emergency vet hospital they brought him out to see us before taking him to emergency surgery. They didn't know if he'd make it. But my sweet boy walked into the room with a gaping, tunneling hole in his side and his tail wagging. Today he is no worse the wear, and we are so thankful to still have this sweet positive loving creature in our lives. And he lives happily with us and our two cats. Every day we are amazed by his positive, loving soul.
