Jonah Boomer Sooner's Story & Details
We had put a deposit on a purebred Lhasa Apso, but when we went to pick out our puppy, nothing clicked. A lady came out of the kennel area carrying a tiny ball of fur whose tail was going 90 miles an hour. She leaned over and said "there's one more in this litter, he's the runt and he's a feisty little fellow". We asked to see him. The breeder said "oh, but he's a mixed breed". I said I didn't care, I wanted to see him. So, he went and got him and when he carried him in to us Boomer was frantically waving those front paws in the air, demanding to be noticed. I told my husband "get the checkbook", and I was clutching my new little one-pound bundle so tightly I made him yelp. Nobody was going to separate me from him. He has been the best dog I've ever owned. He's our only mixed breed, and quite frankly, I prefer him to every other dog I've ever met. "My little dog - a heartbeat at my feet"
