Augustine's Story & Details
Rescue Express:
Hi Everybody! Here’s a note to let you know how happy I am with my new Forever Pack!
When I left Georgia you were calling me Allie and wishing me a nice life in my new home. Thank you so much for loving and taking care of me when I was a little puppy.
Once I got to Philly I was so excited to meet my new family. Kate and Monty picked me up and right away we were all in love! First we went on a car ride, where I was given my new name, Auggie! Then we went shopping and I got a whole new wardrobe, and accessories, and lots, and lots of toys! I love my toys!
When we got to our home I met the rest of the pack, Fluffy the Corgi-Pomeranian, Porter the Vizsla, Sherman the front porch cat, Newt the indoor kitty, and Rufus the frog. They are all awesome.
By the end of my first day I slept really well.
As the days go on, I’ve gotten even more comfortable. My Family says I am very snuggly and sweet, so true! I am also very good. I don’t have to go in a crate or pen ever, but sometimes it’s comfortable and I play in them anyway. I go to lots of dog parks and regular parks too. They are so much fun. I love to run with big dogs, and hide in the tall grass, and bark at geese, (I have a very big bark, Kate says.) I also think Porter is the best big brother ever! He shows me how to run, and play, and walk on leash. He is so smart.
Kate and Monty were doing some background research on some of my more special genetic traits, like my dewclaws, glass eye, webbed feet, and beautiful merle coat. Turns out I’m at least part Catahoula Leopard Dog! They found a bunch of pictures of other Catahoulas that look a lot like me and my other brothers and sisters. Take a look!
Well everybody, I hope you are well. I will think of you next time I’m out running or playing. Don’t forget to write!
Love,
Auggie
