Marshal 's Story & Details
Marshal is a designer breed. I am against breeders and this is one of the main reason why. Idiots like to breed dogs to make money, and slap a pretty name on these poor animals, then, when they are too old or no longer new and they grow out of their wrinkles (literally in this case) they end up filling shelters to be put down. Marshal has a severe case of seperation anxiety which would require Prozac if we could not treat it at home. Breeders don't pay attention enough when it comes to health concerns in animals. We arent talking good responsible breeders, we are talking money making animal abusers. A Walrus is a mix between a Shar pei and a Basset... when Bassets arent bred properly you get very painful joint growth much like Marshal is developing. Marshal had cherry-eye when we got him and he has already undergone sugery to fix this problem. The worst part is that his anxiety can kill him and he needs near constant supervision. He fears abandonment and there are thousands out there just like him. If you take a dog home, plan on keeping him for life- cute wrinkles or not :( Breed responsibly.
