My husband wanted a Jack Russell and I wanted a Dachshund. When I found out that my daughter’s friend had a litter of puppies that were half Jack Russell and half Dachshund we thought we found our perfect dog. Until recently, we actually thought that we had made up the name “Jackshund”. We never knew that it was an “official” mixed breed.

Bleu, who we named after the Indianapolis Colts Mascon, is a very sweet boy and a huge momma's boy. He is the joy of my day.
