I rescued him at around age 2. He was not fixed, housetrained and had no idea what toys were. He would run to his food dish, grab as big a mouthful as he could and run away with the food. He had a choke collar on that had been there so long skin had started to grow over the one side. It took a while, and that is why he is still not good with other dogs, but he has become the most loving, affectionate dog I have ever had. He now loves to play with his toys, and snuggle on the couch. He is still leary with other dogs even after the years I have had him and doesn't quite know how to play after the initial chase. But he is precious to me.
