I lost my companion, Bodhi (a flame point siamese) and couldn't get past the mourning stage. We have 3 other dogs, but the range 50 - 120 lbs and not exactly someone who can sit on my lap while I knit or work on my art. By happenstance, Olive was the last puppy in a litter... and when she snuggled in and rested her head on my neck the first time I picked her up (just like Bodhi did)... I was lost. She's been my constant companion since that moment. I still miss Bodhi terribly, but Olive is her own "person" and I adore her.

She's currently being socialed & trained to become a certified therapy dog. :)
