I bought Serena when she was 8 weeks old. Three days later I took her to the vet because she was vomiting. She was diagnosed by barium xray as having severe mega-esophagus and her prognosis was poor. But Serena thrived and had her 2nd year birthday this January. Her vet is amazed she survived and she is doing so well. He calls her a social butterfly because when we visit the clinic she greats all the vets and techs and clients too. She loves everyone! I bought Athena as a companion for her recently because I work 6 days a week and I didnt want her to be lonely. We also share our home with ferrets who run the house with the dogs. Everyone shares foods and the ferrets often steal treats from the dogs and hide them along with their toys. It is a daily treasure hunt for the dogs to recoup their toys and treats!
