Indiana Jones 's Story & Details
Indiana Jones...what to say. How lucky were we to stumble upon such a beautiful human...oh, I mean dog. Luckily, the Humane Society knew a lot about him because they knew the farm he came from. He was abused by his first two owners, we are his third and final owner. He was beaten with bottles, newspapers and feet and burned with cigarettes. He was chained to the chain link fence at the Humane Society with a chain around his neck. But going through such horror, this dog, my son...has really been a blessing. He has always been loving and he knew this was where he belonged the moment we brought him home 5 years ago...he was a year old. He knows how to talk to Mommy and Daddy with his whimpers and head "cocks". He isn't a great watch dog...he'll lead just about anyone to the safe and hand them the code for a belly rub. He's protective of his newborn baby sister (4 months old)...he sleeps next to her no matter where she is during the day...and sometimes at night, I'll sneak in to check on her and there he is under her crib. He is spoiled with love, toys, blankies, beds and belly rubs and worth it every single day. He is the best "gift" my husband ever "bought" me. Our only complaint with him...we know that someday, we won't have him anymore. The sad truth of being blessed with a dog...they don't live forever!
