Jeep 's Story & Details
Jeep came into my life because of a very persistant friend who knew the person who was taking care of him before me & insisted when he found out this person was trying to find him a home that this dog was a perfect match for me. I use the words taking care of him lightly because that is the last thing his former owner was doing. I finally agreed to go meet Jeep at my friends request more so just to get him to leave me alone about it. When got there I walked out the back door, passed a ant covered food bowl & a rusted water dish, then was met by (despite his torn up fly bitten ears, dirty coat & collar growing into his neck) the most happy, tail wagging, ball in mouth ready to play fetch, beautiful dog I had ever seen. I simply looked back at his food & water dishes, scratched his head said Hi! Jeep are you ready to go home? He was at my car door before I was & that is where we went home. Despite everything he went through this is the most loving dog & as it turned out he has saved me not vice versa.
