Mahoney joined our family Aug 12, 2010. She was 1 year 4 months old. She is now 1 year 10 months and been here 6 months. Its like she has always been here. She is a APBT/Staffie mix.

I got her from a girl who had her since she was 4 months old. Mahoney was found in a parking lot in downtown Atlanta in a very bad part of town. She was badly beaten up and starving. More than likely, she was exposed to some level of dog fighting or used as a bait dog. The girl who had her couldn't take care of hr anymore and couldn't rehome her. She was going to be turned over to animal control the next day had I not said I would take her (upon the condition she got along with my then little puppy, Padfoot). Knowing that she had serious fear issues, I knew animal control would put her down right away for being a bully breed with fear issues. I was not going to let that happen.

She is a great dog aside from being a big coward. But shes seen a trainer and is getting much better. Aside from Padfoot, she just doesn't like other dogs. And thats ok, she likes being in bed with me and cuddle instead. Padfoot is Mr. Personality and is the one who likes going on outings and adventures about town. Mahoney is quite content being at home where she feels safe. She is definitely the best cuddler ever. Me and Padfoot love laying our heads on her big soft bottom, its soft and squishy like a Tempur Pedic pillow LOL
