Sunny's Story & Details
Our beloved Sunny showed up one day at our house out in the country. He never left. After contacting the Human Society who said he was too big to house, we fostered him until a home could be found. What he gave us was unconditionwal love and so much of it. We fell in love and formerly adopted him. The vet thought he was about a year old when he came. We became a very big part of our lives (our children are now grown) and came with us everywhere. He was completely innocent when he came, had never worn a collar, had a bath, walked on a leash and we had a fine old time teaching him everything. Sadly, just a few weeks ago he was run over by a speeding vehicle and killed instantly. We are devastated and miss him more every day. He is buried under one of his many favorite trees and I still go and talk to him. Neither my husband and I have ever been so attached to a dog and I can't help feeling that he came to us for a reason, I just don't know it yet. One day I would love to get a puppy of this breed as from what I have read they all have the same disposition and personality. We could never replace Sunny - and would not want to - but he has left such an enormous hole in our family.
