We have two children who fall on the mild end of the autistic spectrum, so certainly our choice for a pet/dog had to meet certain criteria. We 'interviewed' several wonderful dogs, but it wasn't until we met Zoe that we knew we had the right fit. She passed the test of taking our son's quirks in stride and when she planted a big kiss on him, where other dogs shied away from him - we were in love! She's been with us since November 2010 - and in a months' time she's acclimated very well to our family.
