My name is Katie and I adopted Charlie from a shelter when I was 22 and a beginning teacher. I needed a sweet dog who could be my companion at home and while I was getting used to living in a new town and on my own for the first time. The peoplke at Paws4ever in Mebane NC were great. They had just found Charlie and they knew he had a stressful past. His previous owner could not contain him. He is very fast and would run out of the yard and stay away for hours. He has always been very dependent on me and he will always be in the same room as me. He is very loyal and he can sense if I am upset. On the other end of the spectrum, his sense of smell sometimes gets him into trouble. He follows scents outside. He is not a chewer or a scavenger by any means. He will dig band bury things in the yard. Everyone whobhas ever met him loves him and wants to take him because he is such a calm sweetie.
