Julius's Story & Details
We adopted Julius at an adoption event in Humboldt County in 2005. She had lived with a family with kids for 5 years and they were evicted because Julius chewed the fence and the family could not afford to fix it. Apparently, she was abused in that home because she was very anxious and nervous when we first met her and feared many things.
She lived in the shelter for many months, was adopted by one family but then returned to the shelter because she was too hyper and energetic with young children. She had lived in the shelter for months and months when we saw her at an adoption event and adopted her.
She has come a long way but is still very emotionally needy and insecure and is still scared of a lot of things.
Julius has a great heart, loves being with people, is very very smart and is very sensitive emotionally. She gets very upset if left alone, and can not ever get enough praise and affection.
We just found out that the Bassador is an actual recognized breed; we never knew that before and we have not seen any other Bassadors here in Southern California.
