My family has always had dogs, after a few years with my husband I decided I wanted a dog. I`v grown up with dogs, but never had my very own dog:) so we started to look around, looked in the papers etc.. I wanted to check out the shelter and see what dogs they had that may work for us. We found a great little dog, she was great in the car, was already house broke everything..but when we brought her home she decided that all she wanted to do was eat our cat..I brought her back, and I really hated to do that, but it was not going to work..there were way too many cats in the area, and of course my cat.but if I hadn`t I would have never met Bear and he has been a GREAT addition to my family! So they told me I could use the money I already had paid for her towards another dog, I decided to wait. after a few weeks I went back and went into the dogs avilable section and there were three little black lab pups.. There were 3 males, the other 2 female pups were already adopted. I went into the cage because they were only 3 months old and they didn`t want them out in the viewing area just in case. * they didn`t want the pups to catch anything* I went inside and 2 of them were non stop barking and the third pup was not making a sound, but when I got in there with them the little quiet one jumped up on me:) and that`s when I found my dog! I wanted him!!they said he was a black lab mix he looked exactly like a black lab. so we took him home, after a few days he did get kennel cough but we treated it, and he got better. over the past year and a half that he has been a part of our family I have found out a little but more info on our not so little bear:) he is a Labrakita!! he is gorgeous and everyone comments on him!! he is a GREAT dog! and I`m so so so happy that I found him:) he is GREAT with kids!! even tho he is still young! he has long legs and runs like the wind~!:)
