I got Monte for Christmas 2009 from my boyfriend of 5 years.
Monte is the friendliest dog I've ever met. He is super sweet and gentle; has never bitten anyone or even snapped.
When I got Monte, the ad in the paper said he was a Border Collie. (He's definitely not) We went to pick him up and the guy we got him from was dirty, and his truck was filthy, and Monte and his brother were thrown in a kennel in the back; wet, dirty, and cold. No papers or background info of any kind. Monte looked so pathetic on the ride home. :( In a way, we did rescue him. He was very timid at first, but he warmed up to all of us very quickly.
He's pretty skittish, the smallest sudden noise will have him running for cover.
I love this dog so so much, he is pretty much mt first child. :)
