Tempo was given up to the SPCA because his original owner was deployed to Iraq. We were looking for a medium-sized bull terrier-type dog, and not quite interested in pit bulls. But mommy walked past Tempo's kennel and noticed he wasn't barking like all the other dogs. Then she saw he was a great dane mix and thought it was such an interesting mix! The people at the shelter told us he was not obedience trained very well, and the first few times we took him out to visit he was a jumpy wild man!! He received a little obedience training before adoption, and he's still learning, but making a lot of progress. Tempo is an incredibly mellow and smart puppy! We have taught him a few tricks in as little as 15-20 minutes.

He is 11 months old right now and stands 26" at the withers, and is approximately 65 lbs.... he's going to be a BIG BOY!! He's not very rambunctious unless new people or dogs are in the house, and he quickly settles down after that. He is the most sweet, cuddly, silly dog anybody could ask for.
