A friend found him on the side of the road at barely 5 weeks old. We took him in after two previous homes, the friend and my sister. He was to much to handle, so we took him in at about 9 weeks old. A lot of us played our guessing games; however the vet told us his strange mix (Dachshund and Pitbull WOW!). We never thought he would get this big, but his paws were huge and now he is our big fat baby. It took a while to get used to him and his big loving, crazy-playful personality, but he is one of the greatest lights in our lives. It is wonderful to come home to this loving pup, who will sit and cuddle with you when you are upset, or just play until bedtime when your happy. He has brought life into our older 14 yr old dog, Paco, who is also a mixed breed (Shepard-Chow). It took some getting used to but he is the perfect addition to our family and we would not trade him for the world.
