I had his dad already (AJ, who is a registered Miniature Pinscher) and some other dogs and I picked up a female rat terrier who a family had bred twice and they kept a puppy and dad but didn't want Mama (Dee Dee) anymore. She wasn't a very cute rat terrier (her ears were huge and pendulous--I wonder if she had some beagle ancestors). Anyway, AJ had NEVER been interested in my female dogs before, but he really liked Dee Dee apparently. The kids were totally unplanned and three puppies were born. Sadly, one baby boy (Nike) didn't make it. I planned on keeping just a female, but Titan was so unique with his gold coloring I had to keep him. I had planned on keeping all three but since Nike passed away I just kept Titan and Chai. (Until my dad had the genius idea of putting AJ and in heat Dee Dee again together when he was watching them and we ended up with a second accidental litter--too bad I could only keep one of the puppies the second time. They may be accidents, but they're the best dogs I've ever had and I love them to death! Such sweet little babies. :D
