Sissy's Story & Details
I work at a vet hospital and have seen many animals in pain and unfortunate situations. Nothing before could have prepared me for poor little sissy's horrible situation.
When sissy was 4 weeks old she was stepped on by the "breeders" 4 year old child... from this she suffered fractured bones in her front paw. When sissy was 8 weeks old she was admitted to an emergency clinic with a prolapsed left eye (popped out eye)... the "breeder" only treated with antibiotics and an e-collar, declining the much needed surgery to remove the eye.
My friend saw the fax from the emergency clinic about sissy and called the "breeder", they were going to surrender the pup to the shelter (where she was going to almost certainly be put to sleep).
She convinced the "breeder" to give the pup to the hospital instead. I was called and came into work to see this poor little dog for myself.
I rounded the courner to the kennel room and saw her... I almost started to weep at the sight of her... left eye painfully prolapsed and infected... but still she greeted me with wagging tail and flicking pink tongue. Thats when she stole my heart.
Her surgery took 45 minutes and now she has no more pain.
