Danni was part of a litter of 5 puppies my cousin's dog had. I had lost my 14 year old dachshund to a massive stroke in April and had decided no more dogs for awhile. After returning from vacation I missed my dog terribly so I decided to see if my cousin still had any of the litter left, she did. I was told there was one little girl left and she would be ready in 3 weeks. Two days later my aunt called and said that my cousin wanted me to take the dog ASAP because she didn't want to deal with the 4.5 week old puppies anymore. Though I was not prepared I called my vet and got all the does and don'ts about such a young puppy and picked up the puppy.

She is really 5 weeks old, very active and very silly and I love her to death. She sleeps in a portable, softsided crate by my bed and as of this morning slept all night long. We are potty training and she is getting the hang of it.
