if my cat gets attention! Sesheta's Story & Details
I had always owned Shepherds, and had lost one in '06. I had acquired a purebred white in '07, and he was stolen at 7 months. I couldn't bear to get another dog until recently. I couldn't decide between another Shepherd or a Lab. I kept looking at ads, and then an ad appeared for this mix. I thought, this is made for me! Not realizing that there is such a thing as a Designer Dog nor a Sheprador, I called and talked to the gentleman. We talked about the type of personality I wanted and he chose one pup for me. I traveled to pick her up. I went into the pen alone, not knowing which was mine. Guess who came running to me first? My puppy. Then she ran back to him, and back to me. She submitted to me and I petted her belly. She ran back to him and seemed to be asking him permission. I told him that and said, "Guess you have to tell her it's ok..." He did and Sesheta and I began our journey together. We've been buddies since. I love her and her personality is wonderful. As far as training? She has been the easiest dog I have ever trained. Ever. At five months, she is completely housebroken. All she has ever chewed is paper. And here's the kicker: she brings the piece of paper to me first to ask permission for chewing!!!
