Our Jack-A-Bee

My wife and I have had our Jack-A-Bee Josie for almost a year now. We adopted her from an animal shelter in KY where we lived at the time. We had been searching for a dog for a while and the second we saw her face, we knew she was the dog for us. We went and adopted her that same day.

She's one of the sweetest dog's I've ever had. She's got a TON of energy and I try and run her in our backyard everyday (weather permitting) and she loves it. We've got a creek near our house that she'll drink out of, but doesn't like to go in the water. She's quick and loves to chase the rabbits that are in our yard too.

As far as training goes, that has been a little more on the difficult side. She's learned sit, stay, down, wait and off. When we're home she'll run back and forth between our front door when she needs to go out, but if we leave for an extended period of time (i.e. work), she can still have accidents, but she's learning and they are getting to be more rare.

She loves to play and loves to be around us. Crate training is a must when they are puppies. She can reach my shoulder now when she jumps (I'm 6'0''). When she's playing she doesn't want to be held back, but when she's tired or in cuddle mode, she loves to be between my wife and I on the couch snuggled under a blanket.

We love her so much and even with some of the headaches of training, we're so glad we have her.

Harley

Harly is a shitzu-jack rusell rat terrior mix. Very cute and loveable! This is a wonderful mix, great tempermant and gets along great with other dogs and cats his size. Lager dogs can play a bit to rough so even though he wants to play with all animals i try to limit his play to smaller animals. Harley is 12lbs but thinks that he is 112 lbs! He LOVES to follow me around the house and doesnt wander far when outside. He likes to run and play but also loves to curl up with me at night. He doesnt bark very often, only when someone is at the door, not at random people or animals walking by the house. He loves to go on walks but is also happy to just run around the yard. He plays well with kids and loves his stuffed toys. I would recomend this mix breed to anyone who wants a small loyal companion!

Sasha the Doberman Bulldog

Sasha is a dog I got as a six month old puppy in 2005. Her birthday is on March 7th, and every year she gets treats. She is very protective of our family and also very loyal. She is always alert and makes a great a great watchdog.

Her disposition is very friendly and she is great around little kids. She doesn't like males a whole lot though, and whenever I take her outside she must be on a lead because she will lunge at our neighbors if they're too close. We've only lived here a short while though, and she's beginning to become more social.

Sasha is able to adapt to many different types of life styles. She has been an outdoor dog, house dog, watch dog, and family pet and has done remarkably well at being all of those.

She enjoys running and is very playful. She is also very intelligent and observant.

Her heath is very good. We haven't had any problems with her ears, teeth, bones, coat, or anything.
