Emmy Lou
My little girl was adopted from a shelter and my vet believes she is between 2 and 3 yrs old. I've had her spayed, she's had all her inoculations. The shelter identified her as a Dachshund however I mentioned to them that I thought there was a Min Pin in there somewhere because of her leg length. Now after reading the traits of a MinPin, That's her for sure.
I've struggled with her strong will and aggressiveness with lots of affection, exercise, continuity and eating in front of her before she is fed to establish myself as Top Dog. I've had her only a month and she already comes when called, has learned to sit, and she tells me when she needs to go out to potty. At first, she jumped on other dogs in my senior complex and savagely attempted to bite their necks. I abruptly intervened and took her immediately into the home and scolded her by saying she has to be 'friends', no fighting. Now she wags her tail and happily sniffs then kisses all the dogs no matter their size. After being totally overwhelmed at first, I think she has made great strides in a month and I'm very proud of Emmy. I have a 9 month old female Sheepadoodle, Josie. She is our baby. She is goofy and yet noble. Loves to play frisbee. She is by far the most intelligent dog we have ever had. She learns new things right away. The grooming is an issue though. She has to be brushed, throughly, twice a week even though we have a summer cut right now. She does not shed at all and my husband, who is allergic to everything, is not allergic to her. Josie is very loyal to her family, loves children and is a good watchdog. This breed does not appreciate hot weather. She loves winter time and she loves to go swimming.

Shane is an American Lattle, who we acquired as a three month old, after he was tossed from a car in the country. I had no idea what breed he was when we first got him, except that he did resemble a small black lab. Upon bringing him home, the very next morning, I walked down our long country drive-way to fetch the paper. He accompanied me. I placed the newspaper in his mouth, and until his car accident 3 yrs. ago, I never retrieved my own paper again!
Since his long recovery, he has resumed to his daily chores of fetching that morning paper, bringing in the mail each day, and carrying in the groceries from my car after shopping. He is an amazingly intelligent dog, who loves his mom and dad with every ounce of his heart. We never had to house break him or deter him from chewing things. Besides him being a little neurotic, he is our favorite child! I will never consider another breed down the road, and just hope that he remains part of our family for many years to come. He's the best! Our New Rottland is 100 lbs. black thick double coat with white "lightning" stripes on chest, large paws, and the Newfie jowls and drool. She has the sweetest disposition, very loyal and closely bonded with us. She is protective of me and also quite sensitive if I am not feeling well or am sad about something she is very compassionate and attentive. She doesn't really bark in the house, but has a deep throaty "huff" that she uses to get our attention when need be. She's friendly, good with kids, great traveler, cuddly, licks everything, and loves to eat ice cubes. I couldn't imagine a better companion.

Hi, i own a sch chi, tinker. He also likes to bark at people walking past my house but i have started to distract him when possible, he is very playful and loving and seems to have all the best bits of both breeds. If you notice any growling etc or nipping then gets some dog books and read up. Buy both breeds to get a overall view. I have'nt noticed any trates different than found in any other small breeds. I have 3 young children and he gets on great with them. He knows he's my baby but still a dog. My youngest child is 4 and he will try it on with him given the chance by trying to steal bits of snacks etc. Best bit about owing a shi chi is that he is so different and always draws lots of attention when out and about and he really is like my best friend and gives me most of his attention and always seeking out mine.
