Lacey is Better

Well, I wanted to keep everyone up to date on Lacey's progress. It has been 16 weeks since her surgery and she appears to be better. She is running and jumping around like her old self again. I am soooooo happy that she is better and we do not have to keep her locked up any more. It was getting really hard to do and hard on us. I just keep my fingers crossed that we never have to go through something like that again. Good Luck to anyone who must undergo something like this in the future.

Lacey's 12 Weeks is Finally Up!

Well, it has seemed like forever, but Lacey's 12 week rehab from her knee surgery is finally over. She has been doing very good the past couple of weeks. She has gradually been becoming more active and playing more. She really seems like her old (well young but you know what I mean) self again. I am very relieved at that. I have never had a dog that has had surgery before and I didn't know what to expect after her recovery. Tonight it was like she knew her rehab time was over. She ran around the living room at top speed. Just running in circles, burning off energy she hasn't been able to burn off over the past 12 weeks.
Now I guess it is just a waiting game to see if everything is okay with that knee and the other knee. I truely hope it is. I would hate to have her have to go through this again. It was tough on everyone involved. Even Logan was sad not to be able to play and wrestle with his best buddy.
I guess I will just have to keep my fingers crossed that my little girl will be okay from now on and hopefully no more surgery for either of them.
