Nina came to us as our 5th foster puppy. But once she was with us for just 2 days, We knew There was no way we could give her up to somebody else to adopt. She has been with us since she was 5 weeks old and weighed only 6 ounces! Our Vet had us feeding her soy based,baby formula and canned pumpkin for the first few weeks we had her. She now tops the scales at 3lbs / 8 ounces. She is the joy in my life and has become a self taught,Medical alert dog for my Diabetes and Fibromyalgia. She is tired and lazy when I have flair ups and playful and excited when I am having a good day.She lets me know when my diabetes is going to act up long before I have a clue it even might. I could not have found a better dog if I had gone looking! Her small stature does not hold her back for one moment. She runs circles around every dog in the house and puts them in their place's on a daily basis.
Yes,she is the Alpha dog in Our pack.She goes where I go. I would be lost with out her. we have a very strong bond. She goes bonkers if she can not be right by my side and keep me in her sight. sometimes,I wonder if she thinks I am her puppy? hahaha it would not surprise me.
she loves children,cats and the elderly. So,I'm working on getting her certified as a therapy dog so We can take her to our local V.A. hospital and the Pittsburgh Children's hospital. She is such a great dog. i know she can bring so much Joy and happiness to others as she has Us.
